When People Can't Get to the Point

Ok now. Let me start this with a comment from a certain boy who sits in front of me during one of my discussions:

"Uuuuuhhhhhhh.... well, I think that.... there is.... a lot more.... use of this in the films...... from Hitchcock......

.....

....cause....

....he really.... ....likes.... to... do that.

Five minutes later.... he's made his point.

This is like that wheezy kid from Malcolm in the Middle but in real life it's not funny. AND I know that he doesn't always speak like this. There will be moments when he will make a simple comment. But at times like these I just want to shake him and then smack him and be like "GET TO THE POINT!!!"

And on that note I get to academic journals, papers, readings, bullshit. Academia is a beast of bullshit. Basically it just eats bullshit and then shits back out that bullshit.

What I mean is; if it takes you 40 pages to explain why Disney is for kids, BULLSHIT!!! If you can't make your point in 10, maybe 15 pages or less, I am angered. If it takes longer than that it is academia bullshit to prove that you are capable of bullshitting a bunch of information to argue a bullshit argument about something that is bullshit.

Is that harsh? People make their livings writing scholarly essays and such, but I don't want to read it. Good for you for enriching our lives by writing a book on why Madonna causes head lice, but that will not be on my reading list.
